About Me.
Ever since Ashlie existed, she has had a flair for drama. Old family videos show her putting on a show for the camera, and she could often be found performing for her stuffed animals in her room. When Ashlie grew older and society and tormentors intervened, challenges in life led to her wanting to give up the natural inclination of performance, but she has overcome those challenges. She believes everyone has a right to be themselves. She strives for inclusivity, including body diversity. Additionally, she believes theatre is necessary for a society to thrive, and believes that theatre should not be brushed under the rug. Stories hold power, and that is the only thing that will create change in a corrupt world.
Ashlie currently lives in St. George, Utah. She believes being well-rounded is important in the changing theatre world, and has done a little bit of everything. She mostly acts and directs, but has also dabbled in fight choreography, playwrighting, film, stage managing, and much more. Contact her at ashlie.chaston@gmail.com.
